Merlewood Angus Acquires Warrawing

On 30 April 2025 custodianship of 80 Inglis Lane that has been held by The Trease family since 1945 ~ has now passed to Merlewood Angus. Both Daniel and Anne Marie Barrow are thrilled to have become part of this land’s story.

With the acquisition of this 319 acres Merlewood Angus now owns 919 acres of fertile land in the heart of South Gippsland. Leasing a further 315 acres from neighbouring farmers Merlewood Angus operates across over 1,200 acres.
“We are excited to see Merlewood Angus growing. With our 10th annual bull sale next year in March of 2026 this purchase feels very timely and very significant. As more and more people reach out to secure Merlewood bred weaner heifers and steers this allows us to meet demand with supply. We purchased our first farm here in the Gippsland in 2007 and we cannot wait to see what our third decade on the land has in store for us.
