Stud Principals Anne Marie & Daniel Barrow had plenty to smile about after their second sale \u2013 which sure was sensational in current market conditions.<\/p>\n
Daniel and Anne Marie Barrow were delighted to see a couple of fellow seed stock producers at their second sale. \u201cTo have other seedstock producers interested in our breeding program and consider our bulls to be potential stud sires at this early stage in our journey is magnificent\u201d said Daniel.<\/p>\n
Top priced bull in the autumn bull sale Lot 23 Merlewood Jarcevo M127 sold to Anvil Angus of Alexandria.\u00a0 With four clients that we know of bidding on this bull, competition on the day was hot for this bull. One client said afterwards \u201cMy pockets just weren\u2019t deep enough to take him home \u2013 my limit was $10k.\u201d<\/p>\n
With muscle in all the right places Merlewood Angus have been extremely pleased with their Te Mania Jarcevo offspring and believe that this sire will continue to produce progeny that is well suited to the Gippsland region for years to come. Mating him with the best of their females, Merlewood Angus are extremely pleased with both the females and bulls that have been produced to date. Watch out for more Merlewood Jarcevo bulls at their Third Annual On-Farm Bull Sale next year.<\/p>\n
In addition to new clients Daniel and Anne Marie were happy to see their regular repeat buyers and volume clients attending their sale. John Montelone of Mount Angus, Trafalgar was delighted to secure both the Merlewood Heirloom bulls that he had his eye on.<\/p>\n
Michael Bracecamp of Berrys Creek who along with his brother Nigel Bracecamp sells to the bullock market purchased a Merlewood Heirloom son too.<\/p>\n
Peter Dykes of Dollar and the Whiteleys of Mirboo were unable to make sale day but being foundation clients of Merlewood Angus purchased the bull of their choice on the day via their stock agent.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was great to see so many clients on the day \u2013 even those who we knew didn\u2019t need a bull this year but still came along to support us on sale day. We really appreciate this as we know how time poor everyone is these days.\u201d said Stud Principal Anne Marie Barrow.<\/p>\n
With many new volume buyer clients attending from Bairnsdale and as far away as Everton this gives Stud Principals Anne Marie and Daniel great feedback and confidence in their breeding program.<\/p>\n
