Merlewood Ponting P8 sons found themselves in great company at the Dunoon Angus 2023 Autumn Bull Sale. With over 35 Dunoon Prime Minister P758 and 33 Merlewood Ponting P8 sons dominating the sale, competition was keen to secure this new and fresh mix of genetics.
Dunoon Prime Minister P568 sons sold to a high of $65,000 (Lot 41) with Merlewood Ponting P8 sons selling to a high of $42,500 (Lot 42).
In total 33 sons of Merlewood Ponting P8 sold to a gross of $370,500 and an average $11,227.
Sires from other well-known and leading industry respected angus studs; namely Booroomooka, Millah Murrah, Murdeduke and Te Mania also had a handful of their sons in the 2023 Dunoon Autumn Bull Sale.
Merlewood Ponting P8 was purchased by Dunoon Angus in 2020 at Merlewood Angus’ 4th Annual Autumn Bull Sale which, at the last minute, had to run online only as a Helmsman Auction due to the emergence of COVID virus and the uncertainty around its implications.
